Invictus Aqua

Invictus Aqua Men’s Fragrance is one aquatic scent that is actually quite memorable for what it is and it was introduced to us around 2016. I have never really been a fan of what I like to call “blue” aquatic scents whether for men or for women because they all smelled quite similar in my experience but this one is different. It doesn’t project “blue” and to me it is reminiscent of blue steel. I expect this man to be strong an ready for the adventure. I expect him to be well groomed and well dressed. I’d basically describe this scent as sharp and I’ll leave it at that.

The dry down is good and lasts for a while and just gets so sensual due to it’s woody notes which sit at the base but is gently wrapped around violet green leaf and sea water before you get to the bottom. You can tell you’re smelling something sensual but also meant to be casual in it’s experience. Its not for the office meeting unless you don’t want to be taken too serious.

Overall it is a very nice scent still made for younger men and I’ve learned it was due to the “athletic spirit” of the men’s fragrance which of course would be tailored towards those of a younger spirit. This is definitely a summer scent that won’t work well in the winter though a very bold, carefree and daring gentlemen could try but I’d say only during the day while it’s sunny outside.

And On That Note

Yuzu, Grapefruit and Pink Pepper; middle notes are Sea water and Violet Leaf; base notes are Ambergris, Amberwood and Guaiac Wood. My favorite part of this has to be that Yuzu and the dry down to Guaiac wood which is also in Invictus which is more of a woody and aromatic fougere that has an aquatic hint. Invictus Aqua of course is more watery and aquatic. It has long staying power, and they dry down is good. This scent isn’t as seductive as I like them but it’s pretty good for a day time non-professional gathering and capturing their attention because it gives I am the life of the party vibes. Overall this scent is pretty good. Its attention getting as compared to scents just like it.
