Self-care is body & skin care plus minding your business too. When most of us think about self-care we just think about the things that make us feel good and that’s perfectly ok. Shay Sends Smiles is all about how you can add value to someone else’s life and send a smile their way while also minding your business, taking care of your body, growing, and saving. With so many of us suffering silently with our mental health I want to offer something beneficial to all of us and this is the first step. A lot of us spend more time comparing ourselves to others instead of complimenting them. It’s okay to do both. Compare yourself to them if it will make you a better person. If not, stop. Compliment them on what they do well but keep it real with both them and you about where you want to be and how you plan to get there if envy creeps in. We all have debt to manage, bills to pay, lives to live, futures to plan and some of us have kids to raise on top of all that. This blog is here to bring awareness and to market and advertise myself as an eBay reseller. While doing all of that my goal is to add value to your day-to-day life and to document my side hustle as it relates to my career goals and possibly yours if they align. I know I can add value by sharing what I learn as I grow my small, little home-based eBay Business so that is going to be my contribution. Self-care is knowing that you have to start somewhere. Be patient with yourself.

Self-Care and body care are both booming businesses whether you are online or choose to have a brick-and-mortar store front. Everyone wants to have passive and residual income and I assure you that having a small business is neither passive or residual in that ‘set it up, sit back and relax’ context. Don’t let anyone fool you because it’s a lot of swindlers out here. It is constant work. It took me a while to even figure out how I wanted to present this blog because I knew that if all I did was list my products, I might not gain any traction, page views, follows, or likes. As much as I know I want to blog for me I have to blog for you, the consumer because it is for you essentially. This is a lifestyle blog so I want to talk about all the things that can potentially make all of our lives better including minding our own business and strategies for making more money with a side hustle. I want to share who I am and what I want, and I want to get to know you and allow you to get to know me in return. Shay Sends Smiles will mostly talk about these three things:

• Body & Skin Care
• Self-Care
• Business & Marketing

Now I know that may seem an odd string of topics, but they all go hand in hand, and I can’t just do an entire website about ads to go buy body care products that I resell on eBay. Or can I? Probably not. But if you start a little home-based eBay Business and the products are body and skin care items, self-care just comes naturally as a topic you should consider in my humble opinion. For me however, that is not the only thing that I want to talk about because my theory is that eventually I can begin my own little body care line if I focus on broader body care business-based topics. The thing is though that I have absolutely no knowledge about that but once I got over the fear and the stupor of where to being this idea landed in my lap and I had to take some time to develop it. I’ve come a long way, but I am still only a few months in with this endeavor and already I am seeing how much I have to learn and it’s both amazing and frustrating. I’m afraid too because it is a risk, there was an investment, and this is the first step in me becoming an entrepreneur and starting my first online e-commerce business.

Vision is important but you need more than that to make your place in this world.

Vision is very important in your life because how you see it determines what you will dwell on and what you dwell on will determine your actions steps or your day-to-day strategy in life. Don’t get too wrapped up in that word but understand your strategy is just as important as your idea and your vision because execution takes a lot of action, work and discipline. I know this because my vision is there, but my proper execution isn’t because I lack the discipline to change my behaviors, but I am here because I am actively working on that. I’ve known that all of my life but sticking to the plan is often hard when dealing with the whirlwinds of life. Having a good idea isn’t the same as having the innovation or the solution to get the idea to the finish line. Things take time and correction and dealing with all of that can be so heavy. If you found your way here perhaps you just wanted to know more about me and what I have to offer since you are on the fence about buying one of my products. I appreciate that. But if you found yourself here, maybe it was to stick around for a little chit chat. Maybe you were looking for something to uplift your spirits like a discontinued bath and body works fragrance that you couldn’t find in any other location, and you ended up here.
